Its jen again. Long time no post. Just thought I would show you my son. His names Cole Alexander. He was born november 7th, 2011 at 4:54 pm at Mercy Hospital. 6 lbs 14 oz. He now weighs 12 lb 9 oz and is the love of my life <3

Making Dreams a Reality ~ making terminal cancer patients dreams come true

"Bucketlist" ~ I had never heard this word or term before until recently. I'm not going to become overburdened or upset about the implications. I watched the most recent blockbuster movie with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson entitled: BUCKETLIST. It was an undoubtabley sad, yet; true to life story of the obstacles, trials, and emotional tribulations a Cancer Patient faces. We are all too aware... that death is inevitable; but, coming to "grips" with knowing the "reality" ~ that the end is ever-so-near... is extremely difficult.
I was sent a video about a man who had been diagnosed at the terminal stage of his cancer, who had decided to fullfill his "childhood dreams." I'd imagine that this is relatively close to the idea and concept of a "bucketlist." It was very uplifting and inspirational. It helped give hope.
With that in mind, I decided to start my very own "Living Life" quest. I have started to actually begin to make my bucketlist and live my childhood dreams.
Many terminal cancer patients have asked me and themselves: "what do I do" ; "what do I do now" ~ "that I only have" ... a little bit of time to live?
Many usually tell me, what they want to do ~
So, when I reply ~ I generally tell them: do it!
For some odd reason, we are resisisant and reluctant ~ to make ourselves, with the onset of our finality ~ happy.
I simply say: do what YOU love to do. Do what YOU want to do. Do what makes YOU happiest.
I am well aware, that many of us have dreams that can be very costly ~ I am also aware, that because of the financial exhaustion that cancer has burdened many of us with... the funds simply aren't availible ~ for the attainment of our happiness.
Another part of my personal Bucketlist ~ is to help make this happen. Thanks to Dr. Randy Pausch's message: "live your childhood dreams"... and the help of many other insirational figures, I am setting out ~ to "just do it" ~
